“don’t be fooled music hold’s no facts, it’s just an act. It’s just an act.”

In Inverse

In Inverse is an experiment in musical aesthetics co-composed by Luke Deane and Li Siying. It is influenced by the form of sound-alienation present in Vaporwave and Post-internet music.

In Inverse has no conceptual meaning; it is simply an exercise in opening the audience's senses to new forms of duration and attention – from the Sub-woofer-only first movement, through the interlude, to the final movement for on-stage headphones.

In Inverse tries to imagine the limits and characteristics of a speaker orchestra, not an orchestra of speakers; a new form of ensemble in which the actual acoustic characters of speakers are the focus of beauty.
